What is the difference between Facial Fillers (such as Restylane, Juvederm or Radiesse) and Botox?
Botox relaxes the muscles that over time can cause lines and wrinkles. It is especially useful for lines in between the eyebrows, line across the forehead and around the eyes also called “Crows Feet”. Botox is most often used on the upper half of the face.
Facial Fillers fill in lines and wrinkles to give more volume to areas of the face that tend to lose their youthful fullness as we age. Facial fillers are most often used for lines from the nose to the mouth, lines around the lips and to highlight the lips, under eye shadows and hollowness, as well as the lines from the mouth to the chin.
